When I pass-by clinics, I can see many sick people waiting to be attended to.
Was it because of the weather "Rain & Shine" or because of virus spread?
I am not sure!
However, patients are at the Heart of all we do ...
I went to a library and came across a book "Know more about Gastroenteritis and Viral Gastritis".
Out of curiousity, I read it and want to share it with all my readers on how to manage this illness.
Gastroenteritis is intestine infection where there is diarrhoea, frequently accompanied by vomiting.
Viral Gastritis is gastric flu which affects the stomach, causes nausea, vomiting, fever and stomach cramps.
The culprit is food poisoning, bacteria went into the stomach.
Losing too much fluid through diarrhoea or vomiting causing dehydration.
It's not just losing fluid but also electrolytes (salt).
Thus drinking plain water alone is not enough, has to drink glucose to gain back the energy level.
Hope this sharing benefits everyone.
