Many Chinese believe that lunar 7th month is the month of 'Ghosts' festival, also known as 'Hungry Ghosts Festival'.
The Hell will open its gate for the whole of the month to allow spirits and ghosts to roam the earth freely.
People burnt incense, joss papers and offer vegetarian meals, paying respects to all their deceased. They also burnt incense papers to many of the roaming spirits do not have a 'home'.
