You can be a Millionaire

A Jobless man applied for the Job of "Office boy"
at Microsoft.
The HR interviewed him then watched him ...
cleaning the floor as a test and said: "You are employed.
Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the forms to fill in as well as when you may start."
The man replied "But I don't have computer, neither an email."
"I'm Sorry", said the HR Manager, "If you don't have an email, that means you don't exist, and who doesn't exist,
cannot have the Job."

The man left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do with only $10 in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10kg tomato crate.

He then sold the tomatoes in a door to door round. In less than two hours, he succeeded to double his capital.
He repeated the operation three times and returned home with $60. The man realized that he can survive this way and started to go everyday earlier and return late. Thus his money doubled or tripled everyday.
Shortly, he bought a cart, then a truck, then he had his own fleet of vehicles. 5 years later, this man is one of the
biggest food retailers in the US.

He started to plan his family future and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan.
When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man replied "I don't have an email"
The broker answered curiously,"You don't have an email and yet have succeeded to build an empire.

Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?!"
The rich man thought for a while and replied,

"Yes, I'd be an office boy at Microsoft".

Moral of the story :

INTERNET/Email/ Bbm/Whatsapp
is not the solution to your life. If you don't have Internet/Email/Bbm/Whatsapp and work hard,
You can be a Millionaire.

So ... I'm closing my Facebook, Blog and Email and going to sell tomatoes ... to be a Millionaire!

Countless Blessings

Always start our day with gratitude.
Enjoy the beautiful people or
things we already have in our life.

Take a moment of our busy schedule every day
to be thankful for the countless blessings
that God has showered on each of us,
that it brings us so much peace.

Learn to accept each others faults and choose to
celebrate each other’s differences,
is one of the most important keys to creating a
healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right and
have compassion for the ones who don't.

Love doesn't need to be Perfect.
It just needs to be True.

Family Reunion Dinner

Family is like branches on a tree.
We all grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.

Generations pass like leaves fall from our family tree. Each season new life blossoms and grows benefiting from the strength and experience of those who went before

It is important for us … to cultivate in our own family a sense that we belong together eternally, that whatever changes outside our home, there are fundamental aspects of our relationship which will never change.

A family reunion can be a very personal and privileged gathering. Despite, some family members will say they don’t have time or that they are too busy. They still have to turn up for the reunion dinner.

This year, we had our reunion dinner much earlier.
Usually on the eve of Lunar New Year, but because we will be flying off for a LNY holiday in a couple of days.

Relationship

RELATIONSHIP is not about the age,
not about the distance,
not about communication
language barrier.

What's important is having
TRUST and LOYALTY.

The trust of a woman to her man, and the loyalty of a man to his woman.

If  he won't lift a finger to call you,
text you, see you or spend time with you,
it's time for you to lift five fingers
and wave goodbye.
Since he doesn't appreciate
your presence, make him appreciate
your absence.

Focus on Possibilities

When you focus on possibilities

you will see more opportunities
in your life.

Does this sound familiar?

You have been working with the company for decades and you are all too familiar with the operations procedures and the people working there.
Day after day, month after month, year after year, you have been doing your job unquestioningly. After all, you get a decent salary and it pays the bills, supports your family and gives yourself a certain lifestyle.

But now, you face the inevitable fact that your passion and enthusiasm for the work has diminished.
Every morning you wish you could sleep for another five minues.  You think your work day ahead of you and mentally count the days to the weekend.  You literally drag your feet to work.
As a result, you tend to arrive late at the office, giving reasons that the train or the bus was late, couldn't get a cab or you were stuck in a traffic jam.  The truth is not, you know.
At work, you feel bored and colleagues are wary of approaching you because your body language says ... "don't bother me".  You complete your work with little enthusiasm and often daydream.  End of the work hours, you feel a surge of relief as you head for the exit.
You resist any changes that management wants to implement, thinking them a "waste of time".  These changes take you out of your comfort zone and you feel unable to cope.  You complain about your work rather than try to find solutions or way to be more productive.  You avoid regular meetings because you are not keeping up with your deadlines.  You take frequent medical leave.
You frequently stop working on your tasks to check for updates on your Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram.  You chat online even as you find excuses not to discuss work matters with your colleagues.  Unless your attendance is compulsory, you avoid company functions.  You look for excuses not to turn up at office get-togethers, which are aimed at fostering colleague bonding. You don't want to stay in the office one minute longer than you have to.

If any or all of the above sounds familiar, you are probably sick of your job. Sooner or later, your boss will notice your lack of interest and declining productivity and question your loyalty and commitment towards the company.  He will also be concerned about how your negative attitudes are going to affect the rest of your colleagues.
Feeling unhappy at work will also have an impact on your health in the long run.  Depression can leave your feeling tired and unwell.

Ask yourself if this is a temporary state that can be resolved by proactively looking for growth opportunities within the company.  Perhaps you still enjoy some aspects of the work and merely need a change of duties.  Explore your options with your supervisor and try to get a new lease of worklife in the office.

On the other hand, if you think the situation is unlikely to improve, you owe it to yourself and your organization to move on.  It is within your power to be happy at work and contribute to the good of your company.

Always Be Positive

Once upon a time, there was a bunch of tiny frogs raced to reach the top of a very high tower.

A big crowd gathered around the tower to see and cheer.
No one believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

They yelled ...
“Oh, WAY too difficult.”

“They will NEVER make it to the top.”

“NOT A CHANCE that they will succeed.
The tower is too high!”

The tiny frogs began collapsing, one by one.
A few were climbing higher and higher. The crowd continued to yell ... “It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!”
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.
At the end, everyone else had given up climbing the tower.  But ONE continued higher and higher.
This one wouldn't give up!
After big effort, it reached the top.

All wanted to know its strength to succeed and how it managed to do it to reach its goal.
They found out that this winner was Deaf.

Moral of the Story -
Never listen to other people’s tendencies to be
negative or pessimistic. Because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you ...
the ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words
"Always Be Positive"

Because everything you hear and read
will affect your actions!

Be DEAF when people tell you that you
cannot fulfill your dreams!

Always think: God and I can do this...

Drink Water and Stay Healthy and Active.

It is good to drink water immediately after waking up every morning.

1 glass of water after waking up
- helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal
- helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath
- helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to  bed
- avoids stroke or heart attack

Scientific tests have proven its value.

For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful as a 100% cure for ....

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

This method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times. Make it a routine work in our life.

This makes sense .. The Chinese drink hot tea or warm water with their meals, not cold water.
It's good to adopt this drinking habit.

Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

Risk of Heart Attack

To reduce the risk of heart attack, one thing we can do is to control our blood pressure.

There are five types of foods that should be avoided.

1. Processed salt (sodium chloride)

2. Food that are readily for purchase, are processed and treated in laboratory with hydrogenated oil

3. Avoid fatty food; fried food.

4. Red meat should be avoided.  Toxic substances and chemicals are mostly contained in red meat which causes high blood pressure.

5. Sugar is an important factor that causes obesity and obesity in turn causes high blood pressure.  Reduce the sugar content whenever possible.

Heart is not easy to break
from the outside.

Don't simply consume food,
break it from inside and increase
the risk of heart attack.

Go for Quality not Quantity.

The King of Juices – Carrot Juice

Carrot juice is the richest source of vitamin A. Carrot juice not only has a rich source of vitamin A, but this juice has a good supply of vitamins B, C, D, E, G, and K.

Benefits of Drinking Carrot Juice ...

Carrot juice has some awesome benefits. It is a juice you can drink every day. No need to add other fruit and vegetables to carrot juice, it is potent all by itself. Most juicing recipes use carrots for sweetness, but it is more to it than adding it to juice recipes for sweetness.

The carrot juice molecule is like the blood molecule. Maybe this is one of the main reasons why carrot juice is so beneficial for the body.

Helps in improving and maintaining
the bone structure of the teeth

Helps nursing mothers enhance milk quality

Natural solvent of ulcerous and cancerous conditions

Helps prevent infections of the eyes and throat,
as well as tonsils and sinuses
and the respiratory organs

Natural Remedy for Illness

Banana is a natural remedy for many ills.
When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say,
'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'

Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber.
A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.

But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.

DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.

PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.

ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.

BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.

BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.

CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.

HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.

MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.

MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.

NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..

Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.

ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chroniclercases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.

Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time!

Second Day of 2013

After the happy holidays, today working adults have to go back to their workplace and children have to report back to their schools.

It's the first day of school term.
Early the morning, it rained and the weather was cooling.
Children have to drag themselves up from their beds, brushed up and wore their school uniforms.
Some were excited to go back to school, some were still in their holiday mood and some yawned.

Live Life to the Fullest

Here comes a time in our life, when we walk away from all the drama and walk away from the people who create it.  We surround ourselves with people who make us laugh.  Forget the bad, and focus on the good.  Love the people who treat us right, pray for the ones who don't.  Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, and getting back up is living.

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfil it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Life begins where our comfort zone ends.
All life is an experiment. The more experiments, we make the better.
Advice from the moon ... Live life to the fullest.
Be someone to look up to.
Don't be phased by difficulties.
Take time to reflect.
Enjoy a little space.
Honor the cycles of nature.
Light up the night.

Be More Innovative

Innovation is the combination of imagination and
creativity to create usable outcomes.
To achieve great outcomes, we must always starts with great questions.
Good questions can be used and reused, so if we hear a compelling question, keep it and use it again and again.  Collect questions to challenge, enquire and evaluate.

To be consistently innovative ...

We need to identify the issue.  Clarifying the problem gets us halfway to solving that problem.  Allow a few minutes of silence to our mind every day, and see how sharply it helps us to set our life the way
we expect it to be.

A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind.

It is important to relax, focus and attentive, have the best mind to deal with issues. A clear physical and mental space
enable us to get into the best frame.
Fertilise our brains.  Fill our minds with ideas, pictures and concepts.
We can find these in books, stories, films, comic strips, magazines
and on the internet.  The more ideas and words we consume,
the greater our creativitiy to deal with challenges.

Be curious, be interested and delve deep.  It will serve us later when we can make connections between places, people and things
that are not usually connected.

It is important to give our brains a chance to tackle different issues or challenges. Continue to experiment and explore
to replenish our creative stock.
Ask ourselves what can absorb our attention to the extent that
we lose track of time?

The best way to generate one good idea is to generate lots of ideas first.
The more ideas we generate,
the more creative and innovative we become.

“Develop your power of creation and then use it to create immense beauty in your own life, and in the lives of others.”

Be willing to change ourselves.  If we could change ourselves,
the tendencies is the attitude of the world would change towards us.
We need not wait to see what others do.
We must sometimes change ourselves
for the rest of the world to change.

Story of Appreciation

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.  He passed the first interview, the director did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked,
"Did you obtain any scholarships in school?"
The youth answered "none".

The director asked,
"Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"
The youth answered,
"My father passed away when I was one year old,
it was my mother who paid for my school fees."

The director asked,
"Where did your mother work?"
The youth answered,
"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.

The director requested the youth to show his hands.
The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked,
"Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"
The youth answered,
"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books.
Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me."

The director said,
"I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning."

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high.
When he went home, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands.
His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings,
she showed her hands to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that.
It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother's hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked:
"Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday
in your house?"

The youth answered,
"I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning
all the remaining clothes"

The Director asked,  "please tell me your feelings."

The youth said,
Number 1,
I know now what is appreciation. Without my mother, there would not the successful me today.

Number 2,
By working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done.

Number 3,
I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said,
"This is what I am looking for to be my manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.

You are hired."

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team.
The company's performance improved tremendously.
A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality"and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done..
